JUSTICE RETIRES AFTER A WEDDING
Judge D. N. Yount, for ten years a justice of the peace, retired from
that office Tuesday in favor of W. R. Large, his successful opponent
in the recent election.
It is a coincidence worth noting, that while marrying couples was not
among Mr. Yount's chief duties, he virtually performed marriage
ceremonies "coming and going." For, half an hour after he had taken
office Nov. 25, 1920, Mr. Yount married a young couple, Albert Admas
and Rena M. More, of Cletobea, Kan.
Then yesteday, half an hour before closing time for the office, and
just ten years after beginning his service, Judge Yount married
Forrest Fisher of La Monte and Constance Miller of Knob Noster. It
was his last official act.
