Centerpoint Cemetery
From Gainesville, take Highway 160 west to county road 605.
Go south on 605, the cemetery is on the right behind the
Centerpoint chapel.

BREEDING
Elijah 2-24-1867 3-7-1902 **Elijah Breeding was the son of
William Breeding and Martha Belk Breeding. He married
Margaret Ann Webster 29 August, 1886 in Ozark County,
Missouri. They had 2 children Benjamin Franklin Breeding
and Delphia Breeding.
Elijah was shot and killed by a man named George Tate during
an argument with his father-in-law George W. Webster.**
Margaret 2-23-1867 1-22-1946 **Margaret Ann Webster
Breeding was the daughter of George Washington Webster and
Isabella Turley Webster. She married Elijah Breeding on 29
August, 1886 in Ozark County Missouri. They had 2 children
Benjamin Franklin Breeding and Delphia Breeding. Her
husband Elijah was shot and killed by a man named George
Tate during an argument with his father-in-law George W.
Webster. Margaret later married George Tate, the same man
who shot and killed Elijah.**
Elois N 1889 1975 **Elois Nancy Upton was the daughter of
Henry Edward Upton and Eliza Nancy Turnbo. She married
Benjamin Franklin Breeding on 19 September, 1909. They had
6 children:Thana Maxine, Leslie Edward, Theta, Mearl, Donnie
Gertrude and Benton Fred.**
Benjamin F 1887 1957 **Benjamin Franklin Breeding was the son
of Elijah Breeding and Margaret Webster Breeding. He
married Elois Nancy Upton on 19 September, 1909. They had 6
children:Thana Maxine, Leslie Edward, Theta, Mearl, Donnie
Gertrude and Benton Fred. Benjamin was killed in a car
accident.**

and Maxine.**

William Thomas Witt and Edith C. Swearingen Witt. She
married Charles Owens on 23 December 1906. They had 7
children: Edith, Jewel, Marie, Fred, Leonard, Wilma Jean and
Maxine.**
Fred 1-24-1918 11-22-2004 My Children: Doyle, Jerry,
Merle, and Patricia **Fred Owens is the son of Charles
Owens and Lula Witt Owens. He married Donnie Gertrude
Breeding on 30 December, 1936. They had 3 children: Doyle,
Jerry and Merle. They divorced in the early 70’s and Fred
married Pat Herd. They had 1 daughter:Patricia Owens.**
Napoleon Bonaparte 8-24-1857 8-6-1941 He’s not dead he is just
away **Napoleon Bonaparte Owens was the son of Richard W.
Owens and Nancy Garoutte Owens. He married Martha “Mattie”
I. Hobby in 1883. They had 8 children: Bertha, Willie,
Maude, Bea, Charles, Homer, Nancy and Tressa.**
Martha I 11-3-1862 2-1-1954 Asleep in Jesus **Martha I. Hobby
was the daughter of James Alexander Hobby and Nancy Jane
Weaver Hobby. She married Napoleon Bonaparte Owens in
1883. They had 8 children: Bertha, Willie, Maude, Bea,
Charles, Homer, Nancy and Tressa.**
Donnie G (Breeding) 1916 2000 My sons: Doyle, Jerry and Merle
**Donnie Gertrude Breeding Owens was the daughter of Benjamin
F. Breeding and Elois Nancy Upton. She Married Fred Owens
30 December, 1936. They had 3 children: Doyle, Jerry and
Merle.**

Swearengin Witt was the daughter of James Ellis Swearengin
and Mary A. Sweet Swearengin. She married William Thomas
Witt on 3 March 1886. Edith was killed while helping her
husband clear a field. A tree that was burning fell on her
head killing her.**

to the Ozark County Times Newspaper, unknown exact
date by Everett Upton and my Great Grandmother
Elois Upton Breeding.
