Also known as Swearengin-Stafford Cemetery
Spencer Township, Douglas County, MO
From Ava, go west on 14 Hwy. About 15 miles from Ava, the cemetery is
on the right side of the highway, in a cow pasture. There is a small
sign on the fence, very easy to miss. It is just before County Road
556, so if you see 556 you have gone too far.
Photographed and transcribed by Johnna Quick, Jane Owens, and Hailey
Keel on 3 August 2004. There are many fieldstones marking graves
here, and we will add the names as we find them in our
research. Genealogy information provided by Jane Owens.
